Emanuel Costa

Emanuel Costa is a Portuguese Extreme 4x4 driver that has began his carreer in 2002 with a almost stock Nissan Patrol GR in the Portuguese National Championship of Trial 4x4, obtaining promissing results for the folowing years. In 2004, with the start of the “Troféu Trial 4x4” obtained the 3rd place and in the next years has win diverse 4x4 competitions and navigation challenges becoming the overall winner of the Troféu Trial in 2005 and 2006, the Lousa Camp 4x4 in 2006 and 2007 and Troféu Ibérico de Trial 4x4 in 2008. In 2009 he began a new phase in his career with the preparation of a new Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon car. In this new stage we had a partnership of Chrysler/Jeep Portugal and Castrol bringing to a new level the professionalism and responsibility of the team and the wholle National Championship itself. In spite of the bet on a vehicle that has not yet been explored and without evidence, the good results appeared in the beginning winning the title of Champion of the North Trial and the Gouveia Winter Challenge 4x4 and runner-up of the Iberian Trophy in 2010 and 2011 won 1st place in the Iberian Trophy. In 2012, with a focus on a new concept and the acquisition of a new tubular chassis car from the renowned manufacturer Jimmy's 4x4, Emanuel once again innovates and establishes a new level in the Portuguese Trial 4x4. With the Rock Crawling / Ultra 4 new car with a 410cv V8 Chevrolet engine, good results were maintained, earning 1st place in the Rock Crawler Cup and Trial Nort Champion in 2012. In 2013, with the participation in the King of Portugal, reissue of the legendary King of the Hammers competition being part of the Ultra 4 European Championship, Emanuel wins, before a competition with the best European pilots and some Americans. It was in this race that Emanuel Costa caught the attention of the international press and offroad community that was impressed by the high level of driving imposed. It was precisely this victory in the King of Portugal that opened the doors to the participation in the King of the Hammers 2014 in the USA and the organization of the race made available a vehicle for Emanuel to run as a reward for obtaining 1st place in the first Portuguese race. In 2014 and 2015 continued with good results highlighting some victories in punctual participations in the national events of the National 4x4 Trial Championship and the Obtaining the 3rd and 1st places in the King of Portugal 2014 and 2015 respectively. In 2016, with a high effort and work, Emanuel got the support of some sponsors and started a new adventure outside Portugal marking his entry in the Ultra 4 European Championship. Since the first race, Emanuel has established his high level of competition and manages to win the King of France, King of Italy, King of Portugal and finished in 2nd place in the King of Britain reaching the goal of becoming the Ultra 4 European Champion being now internationally recognized as one of the best in this modality.
