Redemption Update:

We have taken cognisance of all the comments we received, and the votes from the poll last week, we will look to do the following for the redemption event as a trial with a view to implementing within the championships next year if successful. With over 2000 votes and comments received we hope these amendments address your most voiced concerns regarding the events.

We reiterate that this is a trial for this event only to allow us to further our commitments to you the racers to provide the best possible situations that suits all mainly on the financial burdens of entry fee’s.

Entry fees:

Stock class -4600 £325.00

Legends - 4800 £350.00

UTV - 4900 £300.00

Modified – 4500 £350.00

Unlimited – 4400 £450.00

WRR £350.00

The above entry fees are again limited to this event as a trial, there is no increase in price between this release and the cut off date for registration, which is 18^TH SEPTEMBER 2023, 30 DAYS FROM THE START OF THE EVENT. refunds will be in line with previous events held this year.

To allow for the above entry fee’s the event will NOT be providing ANY CASH prize monies for the top three winners of each class as would normally be the case.

Seat Time – for this event it is expected you will be racing for circa seven hours.

Showers - will be provided, however there will be a cost of £15 per person for the weekend, you will be issued a wrist band to allow use of this facility. The showers will be open during set times over the weekend which will be detailed in the drivers information in the coming days.

Jet wash – subject to approval from the land owner we will once again provide the jet wash facility free of charge to competitors only, once again this will require a £20 deposit at event HQ for the key which will be refunded on return of the key.

Media – for this event we will maintain our normal operations, this will be reviewed further for the 2024 season.

Onsite catering will once again be available, please support this element where you can so we can maintain it for future events.

Please note, we have taken the above measures to accommodate the vast majority of votes given by those that participated, we hope this in part addresses those comments and results in teams making that commitment to enter races. We are committed to providing the very best races the UK and Europe has to offer, and are always looking to new ways to improve this. 2024 already has some amazing elements and a world famous venue that could well be on the cards for 2024……can’t wait for that one !!

Spectator

Event Date:

Friday, October 20, 2023 to Sunday, October 22, 2023

ULTRA4 EUROPE welcome spectators where the site will allow. At THE REDEMPTION, we are hoping to using a dedicated spectator area where spectators can park close to the site and walk up through the pit area and follow a short route to a central viewing area. The site does not allow full spectator access but we want to investigate the option for 2-3 specific spectator areas.

There will be spectator camping, food vendors, merchandise and toilets on site and the world famous ZIPWORLD with its above and below ground facilies are also available on site.

We ask that spectators respect that a Motorsport race course is a dangerous place and respectfully request that spectators follow all Site staff directions, follow signs and do not wander away from dedicated spectator areas. We want spectators to experience as much of the event as possible BUT from a safe position and enjoy ULTRA4 EUROPE races.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

Event Timings :

Friday 20th October- Prologue / Qualifying - 1700-1900

Saturday 21st October - Race day 1 - 0900-1700

Sunday 22nd October - Race day 2 - 0900-1500 followed by prize giving.

General Guidance:

Race cars can do the unexpected so, for your own safety and that of others, please:

Respect the marshals and follow their instructions
Observe the tape and all signage
Use the natural environment to protect yourself
Don’t walk on the race course
Stay standing and remain alert
Remember that alcohol and drugs can impair your responses and threaten your safety

Spectators who are asked to move and refuse to do so are putting their own safety and that of others at risk. Where this happens, a course marshal has authority to notify the course director, you may be asked to leave the site ! so please follow any instructions given by a marshal.
Please take all rubbish home with you.

Round 3 will be the third of a three round championship.

ULTRA4 EUROPE BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP where all 3 events of the UK events count towards the British Championship.

The final race battle to end all races in 2023. This race takes place in an environment where history and the beginnings of industry started in 1780!! Fast laps, a rough slate mine course for different classes - course that climbs higher than any other U4 course in Europe – Teams will be expected to complete 6 laps per day, at their own time choice – startline will be open at set times and close at set intervals – if you miss the window – you make the task of completing your laps harder!!

Qualifying on the Friday will be a short blast to get the qualifying time and . there will be access to team pits to repair and rest.

There will be an opportunity to Pre-Run the course on Friday, 20 October 23.

Entries for this event will open 01 Feb 23 and close 30 days prior to the event start date. An entry will have to be fully paid before it is accepted as an entry.

Access to the site will be possible from 1700 hrs on Thursday, 19 Oct 23.

*Full timings, site mapping, specific course and event schedule details will follow in Driver Confirmation email, sent out to all registered drivers 6 weeks prior to event.

Admin pit area close to the race course, showers and food vendor – we are also hoping to encourage a sponsors area – new for 2023 – where sponsors can promote their products and services whilst also providing some support to race teams
